The self-guided tour explains how soil types and temperatures along with other environmental factors effect the growing of different varietals. Nestled among the chardonnay and pinot noir grapes is a four acre surprise that delights vineyard workers, staff and management alike: the regulation size baseball field is Balletto Vineyards own Field of Dreams. The tour of the vineyards and winery is casual and friendly. Wander up a gravel pathway into the edge of our lovely benchland vineyards before swinging through the barrel room in the California Mission-style building. The tour concludes with a taste of our coveted cabernet, plus some very fine chardonnay, syrah, and pinot noir. Tour and Tasting $20 (50% donated to Healdsburg Education Foundation). Simi, the oldest winery in Healdsburg, offers a fantastic historic tour named by the Wine Spectator and the Press Democrat as being the finest tour available.
