Quivira Vineyards & Winery is a small, family owned winery located in the heart of Sonoma Countys Dry Creek Valley. Committed to expressing the unique terroir of Dry Creek Valley, we craft wines from grapes grown on the estates vineyards. Quivira specializes in varietals known to excel in the Dry Creek Valley - including Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc. Small lots of Rhone varietals and Petite Sirah are also produced.

We are committed to our estate, to our wines and to the people who make them. Since 1998 Quivira has been conducting a creek restoration project, to restore the Steelhead and Coho salmon population. That project led to a deeper environmental commitment across the entire estate, and in 2002 Quivira began to farm organically and biodynamically. In November of 2005 Quivira was awarded their certification and is now an officially certified organic and biodynamic vineyard. In 2005 Quivira also became a solar-powered winery. Our artisan wines are produced in small lots, with hands-on attention and dedicated care. We believe in letting the unique characteristics of our "place" in Dry Creek Valley shine through. Our goal is to capture and accentuate the luscious, lively fruit flavors that define Quiviras steadfast style.

New Wine Releases:
2005 Zinfandel, Anderson Ranch (10/15/2007)
This vineyard-designate Zinfandel shows very dark purple-blue color with aromas of candied plum, ripe blackberries and cherries jubilee. The palate exudes ripe black cherries, raspberries and a rush of warm vanilla-soaked cranberries.

2005 Zinfandel, Wine Creek Ranch (10/15/2007)
This is a deeply centered and dark, elegant wine with profound aromas of black cherry preserves, cracked peppercorns and dark cocoa. The rich, concentrated flavors of blackberry and quince paste are layered with Belgian chocolate and cinnamon toast.

2005 Quivira Grenache (10/15/2007)

2005 Quivira Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley (12/07/2007)
Dark cherry and bramble fruit lead to a medium-full mouth feel and fresh flavors of blackberries with a hint of baker's chocolate. Beginning with the 2005 vintage, we have chosen to bottle this wine unfiltered in order to preserve all of its charm and character.
