French for 'archipelago', Archipel is a single wine sourced from Mayacamas Mountain vineyards that rise above the valley fog like an archipelago island string rises above the sea.

A Bordeaux varietal blend of hand-picked, hand-sorted Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc fruit, Archipel is also a blend of an Old and a New World winemaking vision. Our distinguished French winemaking team applies Old World wisdom and technique to New World mountain vineyards. The result is a skillfully crafted wine that unites structural complexity with a bold, approachable flavor profile.

Vigneron/Winemaker Olivier Rousset was introduced to winegrowing and winemaking at a young age through visits to the family winery in the Bordeaux region of France. In 1995, Olivier and his family purchased Chateau La Roche Beaulieu, a winery focused on the production of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. Olivier has been working with Archipel Winery since 2000.
