Dear Wine Road Member Wineries,

On Saturday April 7, 2018 Luther Burbank Center of the Arts will hold it’s annual Art of Dessert gala with live, silent and wine auctions in support of its Education Through the Arts programs. Last year’s event raised over $500,000 and was attended by more than 300 community leaders, arts education advocates, and generous donors. This year we need your help more than ever given the far-reaching impact of the firestorm. We are grateful the Center is still providing the solace of music, dance, drama and laughter, just as we have been these past 30+ years.

The Center’s programs are both unique and highly effective: children learn about the arts (music, theater, dance, and visual art), and they also learn through the arts to master core subjects such as math, science, and literature. Funds raised from the evening will be used to inspire our next generation by:

Presenting over 30 educational matinees to nearly 40,000 students who will learn about the arts and deepen their understanding of core subjects through the arts
Providing in-school education opportunities with local artists and musicians
Making music accessible to all through our instrument lending library
Serving youth through free summer camps and out-of-school programs focused on music, drama and visual arts
Hosting community events that bridge cultural and socio-economic divides

We are currently collecting donations of unique wine and wine experiences, or other treasure. This year we are committed to raising more and we’re confident we can, with your help. By supporting these efforts you’ll enjoy valuable publicity for your business so be sure to include business cards and/or brochures so that we may display them with your donation. Enclosed is a donor form with a due date of March 1, 2018.

They can still accept donations after 3/7, but would only be recognized on the event signage and not in the program.
