To all Wine Road wineries –

We are moving full speed ahead to make Barrel Tasting 2019 the “must do” wine event in the country

This will be the 42nd year for this signature event.
Customers have the unique opportunity to get into the cellar, meet winemakers and buy futures.
This is not an everyday experience – it’s once a year, along the Wine Road in Northern Sonoma County CA.

Our print ads will begin rolling out in November in Wine Spectator and Decanter Magazines.
We will be in the Sips and Tips email from Wine Spectator in January.
There will be print ads in Sonoma Magazine, Alaska Airlines and Food & Wine Magazine.

We will be running targeted online ads in Denver, Seattle, San Diego, Los Angeles, Dallas and Chicago markets. They will begin in December and run through February.

A blog post will be featured on VinePair in November and we will be sending targeted email blasts via LocalWineEvents.com to select markets, in November and January. We are starting early so folks in these markets have time to make travel plans. We are also running ads on VinePair.

We will be creating a “series”” of 20-30 second videos with winemaker telling folks why they look forward to Barrel Tasting weekend. These will be shared on social and posted to our YouTube channel. We will also be hosting a video contest for consumers to tell us why they love Barrel Tasting. We will select the Top 10 videos and share on our social platforms to promote the event.

We are sitting at 89 wineries now and we’d love to see 100.
We need to have our ticket page ready to go in about a week, so if you’r in the fence, now is the time to…make the leap! We’d love to see you be a part of Barrel Tasting. Contact Debbie@wineroad.com

A “Best Practices” seminar is scheduled for Nov. 28th to help you make the most of the event.
It does matter how you set up your tasting area and how you feature your barrels. It does matter if you have a way to segment the folks who want to just get in and taste some barrels from those who are interested in buying. Learn from your “incredibly successful” peers how to make that happen.
If you participated in the past with the same set up year after year, with marginal results – CHANGE THINGS UP. There are so many wineries that have HUGE sales weekends, come and see how they do it.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Debbie@wineroad.com she will need to set up a link for you to sign up. Debbie must hear from you by noon on Wednesday Sept. 19th.

Ad attached will be running in Food & Wine, the December issue out Nov. 15th.
