March 20, 2019

Hello to our Wine Road winery members –

We are so excited to be working with Clark Wolf , to revamp, reenergize and reimagine Wine & Food Affair this November 2 & 3.

This year we’d love to bring a few more wineries on board to take part, and with Clark’s help we plan create an event that is a reflection of the full bounty of Sonoma County.

We will be working to partner local farmers and growers with our winery members, along with caterers and our incredible local chefs. Clark is on board to help wineries create memorable food pairings, and he’ll help you work within your budget.

Along with our Saturday and Sunday wine and food pairing, which our winery members provide, we are looking at ways to expand the “weekend”.

This year we will partner with local restaurants to offer a “Wine & Food Affair” special or pairing, for the week leading up to our event.

We will be coordinating small winemaker dinners, winemaker led cooking classes, a farmers market tour, a chance to meet cookbook authors and a few other ideas. These will take place Thursday and Friday night, or Saturday and Sunday morning, so they will compliment, not compete with our 11:00-4:00 event time.

We envision harvest in Sonoma County culminating with our Wine & Food Affair Experience.

If you are thinking of participating, or would like more information to make an informed decision, please join Clark Wolf at Seghesio Family Winery for an informational meeting May 8th.

Please RSVP with Beth@WineRoad.com

We will offer the presentation twice on the 8th; 9:00am and 3:00pm, both will last about an hour. Let us know which time works best for you.

We hope to see YOU there.

Sincerely,

Wine Road Board Staff and Board

About Clark Wolf: Clark Wolf Company was formed in 1986 to provide consulting services to food, restaurant and hospitality businesses and to organizations requiring the services of such businesses.

In the late 1970’s Wolf had a chance meeting that led to a lasting friendship with the legendary James Beard.  He then opened the San Francisco branch of the Oakville Grocery and retooled the iconic original Napa Valley store.

In 1982, he was brought to Manhattan by Barbara Kafka to open and run Star Spangled Foods.  One year later, Wolf began traveling, lecturing, consulting to specialty food retail stores and doing some ancillary restaurant consulting.  After being recommended to The Santo Group by John Mariani, Wolf and Joe Santo created Arizona 206. They then collaborated on the re-do of The Sign of the Dove (earning three stars in the NY Times), Yellowfingers and Arizona Café.

In 1986 Wolf formed Clark Wolf Company.  In 1989 he began consulting to Jonathan Tisch and Loews Hotels, with whom he has worked on eighteen hotels. In 1994, he opened his own restaurant, The Markham, in New York City.  After a successful two year run, Wolf sold his part of The Markham to refocus on Clark Wolf Company.

Since 1999, Clark Wolf Company has maintained offices in New York City and Sonoma County.
