ABOUT US
Balletto Vineyards is an estate winery in the celebrated Russian River Valley American Viticulture Area (AVA) of Sonoma County, California. One of the few estate wineries in the appellation, it is owned and operated by the Balletto family led by John and Terri Balletto. Balletto is committed to showcasing quality grapes from our Russian River Valley estate vineyards, Naturally, the focus is Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and a selective single vineyard program showcases the best that these two varietals and the AVA have to offer. The first vintage of Balletto Vineyards Russian River Valley estate wines was crafted in 2001. Ever since, Balletto Vineyards has delivered
honest and approachable estate wines meant to enjoy with family and friends.
“Let the Vineyards Authentically Speak Through the Wines” β Every vineyard, especially those worthy of single vineyard wine, is unique and should be farmed and vinified to make the statement, ‘this wine can only be grown and made here’.”

ABOUT OUR WINES
Our Winemaker, Anthony Beckman, strives to make wines that are elegant, balanced and reflective of the variety. Indigenous yeast is used in small fermentation tanks, and the aging process uses new French oak barrels sparingly only to enhance the wine, not dominate it. He perfectly matches the lively natural acidity with the fruit to create wines with depth, structure and finesse. When it comes to the single vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Anthony strives to
create wines that express each site so those enjoying can experience the nuances of the cool, foggy Russian River Valley estate vineyards at their essence.
After strolling around downtown Healdsburg, the Winestopper found their way to the beautiful and bright Rockpile Vineyards tasting room, where the 2020 Feather Ridge Cabernet Franc was chosen to be the featured wine. This stunning wine is 100% Cabernet Franc, and won Best of Class at the 2023 Sonoma County Harvest Fair!
Thanks so much for the map. Heading down to Sonoma County for time along the Wine Road is our favorite get-away. Wineries are great, scenery is stunning. Perfecto!

We love to escape winter in Chicago and head to Sonoma County. We discover new wineries and make new friends. It seems we always start planning our next trip when we're on our way home!

Because of the podcasts that you and Marcy conduct, I am planning a trip to stay in Sonoma. Your descriptions and sense of fun make a slightly longer drive meaningful. Keep up the good work.
