Truett Hurst

The Salmon Run Zinfandel Rose highlights the restoration efforts that Truett Hurst is working on with government agencies and NGOs. Coho Salmon is an early detectors for deterioation of wathersheds. Further, it is a top sellet and a cutsomer’s favorite.

Here is what is in the bottle!

Appellation 87% Dry Creek
13% Rockpile
Vineyard(s) Estate and Rockpile
Varietal Rose
Vintage 2021
Blend 87% Zinfandel
13% Grenache
Fermentation Direct Press and Saignee method. No Malolactic fermentation.
Elevage 100% stainless steel tanks.
Wine Notes Aromatics of strawberry parfait, cotton candy, and ripe melon. Background notes of cut grass transfer in and out, depending on the wine’s interaction with oxygen. There is an elegant delicateness on the palate that is unique to this vintage, which expresses itself in the form of bright cherry, strawberry, and bubble gum. The finish carries a healthy shot of acidity but still maintains length and softness.

Thanks so much for the map. Heading down to Sonoma County for time along the Wine Road is our favorite get-away. Wineries are great, scenery is stunning. Perfecto!

We love to escape winter in Chicago and head to Sonoma County. We discover new wineries and make new friends. It seems we always start planning our next trip when we're on our way home!

Bob R. Chicago

Because of the podcasts that you and Marcy conduct, I am planning a trip to stay in Sonoma. Your descriptions and sense of fun make a slightly longer drive meaningful. Keep up the good work.
