Social Media Recap, January 2017

Facebook: For 2017, we decided to hide Wine Road’s other Facebook pages (3 main events and Visit Wine Road) and focus on our main page. In fall 2016, we also began to “invite” people to like our page, which has resulted in better fan growth over the last few months – we will continue to employ this tactic.

In January, the post below reached the most people and had the best engagement.

Twitter: In late 2016, we changed our Hootsuite package, which has resulted in a much more efficient way to schedule posts in advance, multiple times. This has led to more engagement and reach on Twitter.

Twitter numbers were up in January due to our participation in #SonomaChat on January 25th. We were even trending #3!

Top Tweet for January:

Instagram: Beginning in late 2016, to further boost our Instagram presence, Laura and Beth have begun to post on the Wine Road Instagram when they have opportunity to do so. More posts, especially those in the “now” should help to boost engagement on this platform. We are hoping to double our Instagram fans in 2017.

Most engaging post of January:
