It’s a 3-day weekend – encourage wineries to extend their offer (or something special) to attendees on Monday Jan. 20. We will include this on the website AND it will be the last page of the printed program Monday Offers (or some other fun name TBD)

Theme – still in question

Encourage wineries to offer something special – discounted wine, discounted shipping, wine club for the day, pre-packed wines, possibly the wines you are pouring, all boxed and ready to go at a set price (minimal discount).

No VIP ticket for this event

Encourage wineries to offer other “events” on Friday or Saturday – before and after event. Wine Road to add them to our event page, but the wineries sell those tickets, manage those Events. Wine Road does NOT charge for this – we NEED these to enhance the weekend.
Ideally 20 wineries offer an exclusive Friday Barrel Tasting to anyone who can show their BT Ticket on their phone. They would not be checking them in with glasses and wristbands, simply giving them this additional day to taste, as part of their ticket price. They could even say, “ show us your ticket and for $10 (or $20 etc) we are opening our cellar doors on Friday”

Wineries can indicate if they are selling futures.

Barrel Weekend – Taste the Past, Present or Future

Wineries will be throwing open their cellar doors and sharing library wines, current vintages, or possible event futures from the barrel.
We can start making videos ahead of time to showcase this new format…explain what Past, Present and Future indicates. $3000 for video needs to be in budget – start filming in Sept, talking about the future, final filming in January.
