AGENDA

Magical Mystery Tours

  • Possible name change for Urban Wineries
    • Current name is “City Cellar Tour”
    • Choices for name change: Urban Tasting Rooms, Urban Cellars, Storefront Cellars, Winery Warehouses
  • Stick with current name for tour “City Cellars Tour”

Barrel Tasting

  • Reviewed wrap up survey set to be live Monday 3-21
    • Recommended removing Q#41 regarding VIP
    • Recommended adding Question for 2nd weekend changes
    • Recommended adding Question for Fridays ie sales, like/dislike, requirement
  • Discussed event weekend days, should Fridays be required or dropped?
    • Suggestions to raise ticket price if required or break down ticket prices to 1-day, 2-day & 3-day options
    • Consensus that Fridays are a very important sales day for participating wineries 

Breakfast Series

  • Discussed creating a Winemaker Breakfast Series based on the success of the breakfasts tied to Event Weekends
  • Monthly? Quarterly? First to be scheduled May 13th (Mother’s Day Weekend & Iron Man Triathlon)
  • 20ppl/3 winemakers/$25 pp no reimbursement for host location
    • Suggest during harvest months a grower or owner could sit in if needed
  • Suggest tying event to a Sonoma County Event (Harvest Fair) or WR Lodging Special to create a fun package type draw for a Wine Country Weekend starting with Winemaker Breakfast

Wine & Food Affair

  • Wineries would like a sign to showcase how-to view the Online Cookbook for guests during the event
  • Food is as important as wine during WFA
    • Committee to review questionable/lacking recipes prior to Go Live date
    • “Wine Road Chefs” help member wineries with recipe ideas

Event Email Blast

  • All participating wineries are now required to share Event Promotional material via Email blast and or Social Media
  • WR will monitor
