Hello to all of our winery and lodging members,
We finally had a 50th Committee Meeting and created a great round-up of events to showcase Wine Road, bring some people out to the wineries and help celebrate our 50th.
The plan was to have something we can talk about each month, utilizing our annual events and adding some easy activities to round out the year.
This is the schedule:
January 17-18: Winter Wineland – two days
February 14: Wine Love Wine Trail – conversation hearts, stickers, Valentines
March 7-8: Barrel Tasting Weekend – Sat & Sun, plus some bonus tasting at some participating wineries on Friday
April 2026: 50th Anniversary selfie stations. Wine Road to print and mail LARGE versions of our 50th logo and send to all Wine Road wineries and lodgings to display along with instructions for visitors to take a “selfie” and share on social – tag us and enter to win a $200 ticket credit toward any WR event.
May 16: Spring Wine Trail – think…white, rosé, sparkling
June 13: The Good Old Days….FREE Tasting on Saturday! Walk-in tasting, no reservations, no tasting fees, 3 complimentary wines at participating wineries. This will also be a page on our website
July 11: Summer Wine Trail – perfect wines for your summer BBQ
August 2026: $50 Tasting Pass, good Aug. 1-31, at participating wineries, 1 pass per person, each winery may be visited once using the pass. Customer buys online and shows the August Tasting Pass on their phone at the wineries they visit. List of participating wineries online and ideally on their ticket too, so there is no confusion.
Sept. 19: 50th Celebration – GRAND Tasting – Foppiano 4:00-7:00pm. Lively music (people may dance), restaurants to offer tasty apps, silent auction, walk around tasting.
Oct 2026: Simply throw-back to a casual day, out wine tasting and enjoying a picnic. Create page on website of wineries that offer/welcome folks to come buy a bottle of wine and enjoy the picnic area. Need a name for this also.
Nov. 7-8: Wine & Food Affair – we will offer a VIP ticket for this weekend – including a happy hour and breakfast
Dec. 5: Holiday Wine Trail + Market – $50 per person, one day of wine tasting…plus shopping!
FOR now – we are looking for any wineries that can donate shiners, which we will give out at our Sept. GRAND TASTING to all attendees. We want to offer a private label for our 50th. We are looking for bottles that have a back label with all of the required info…which we would consider the “front label”, then we would add our 50th Label to the other side. We need minimums of 12 bottles from a winery – we’re looking for a total of 10 cases. This is confusing…so call me 707-812-4213 – thanks, Beth
We will start having wineries sign-up to participate for the Free Tasting in June and the Tasting Pass in August and the October “picnic grounds” sometime after Barrel Tasting, in mid-March. We’ll want to start getting these details online.
Once we have fine-tuned more details for the Sept. 19th 50th Grand Tasting, we will start having wineries sign up to pour at that. For now – SAVE THE DATE. We’d love to see everyone there.
Lots of balls in the air, but I want to make sure all of our members are up to speed on the plans…as we make them.
