Hello to all of our winery members –
We are still on the hunt for wines to be poured for this fantastic local event:
Wine Country to the Rescue – July 20th.
The contact is Judy Walker (copied above) if you have questions or are interested in donating. Details are below:
The event includes a wine tasting reception, live and silent auctions, gourmet dinner (Jimtown and Then Sum), dancing and fireworks. Last year’s fundraiser fund a need enabled us to purchase 4 – Lucas Devices (Over $20k each) which are lifesaving compression devices that provide consistent chest compression after a heart attack, and are especially beneficial when the person is not close to a hospital. This year our goal is to purchase new breathing apparatus to be used when firefighters enter into compromised situations such as building fires and hazards. Each device is approximately $8K.Here is what I am looking for:
- Hafner Winery has donated 10 cases of Chardonnay for the dinner. I am looking for a winery that might want to donate 10 cases of red wine for dinner, all of the same wine. The donor will receive ad recognition in the event program and will be the only red wine served at the dinner tables.
- We have a wine tasting reception during the silent auction with oysters, caviar, Journeyman Meats, cheeses). I am looking for 6-8 wineries to pour at the tasting reception from 4 to 5:45pm. This is maybe 6 to 8 bottles per winery.
- looking for live auction donations with a value of $2500 or better
- looking for silent auction donations that can be packaged to make a live lot or can stand alone, winery special event tickets, winemaker dinners, tours & tastings that include wine, etc.
Donations can be made by clicking this link.
The event will sell out and the demographic of this event is really good – many of the guests own second homes in and around the Healdsburg and Geyserville hills and visit often. Please feel free to reach out with any questions and let me know if there is anything additional that you need. Any help is appreciated. Thanks again!Judy
