Wine Road on the Road – Omaha

Beth Costa on Apr 12, 2017

We are packing our bags and hitting the road to Omaha, Nebraska – July 20th.

It has been a few years since we have done a “Wine Road on the Road” trip. After a very well received trip to Omaha in November, we felt that those customers could really benefit from our visit…they are anxious to buy Sonoma County wines!

Our goal is to host a grand tasting for both trade and consumers. You can write orders and make sales, invite people to your wine clubs and hopefully get added to some restaurant wine lists.

Ideally we will have 25+ wineries attend. Omaha is a very affordable trip and we feel the pay off in the customer base will make it well worth your time.

Before we make a deposit on an event venue and set aside hotel rooms we need to see how many wineries are able to commit to the trip.

4:00-5:30 – Trade/Media tasting – goal of 40-50 attendees
6:30-9:00 – Consumer Grand Tasting – goal of 300

We will have a silent auction to benefit our sponsor, The Avenue Scholars. We ask each attending winery to donate a magnum. Wineries that cannot attend are also encouraged to donate something to help with this fundraiser.

The Grand Tasting will include live music, food, wine tasting and the auction.
Wine Road will manage shipping all of the wines to a distributor who will deliver to our venue.
All expenses for the actual event will be covered by Wine Road.
Wineries will need to cover their own travel and meal expenses.

Wine Road will manage the set up of the Grand Tasting, however each winery will need to manage shipping back any of their left over wines. Wine Road will not be responsible for returning wines.

If you are interested please email me back ASAP. If we have enough interest we will book our venue and move forward with the planning.
