Amista ~ making friends
Tasting daily from 11:00am – 3:30pm
Did you know Amista is the premiere producer of Dry Creek Valley sparkling wines? We are now in our 15th year of crafting sparkling wines using the traditional method for making French champagne. Our sparkling Blanc de Blanc and Sparkling Syrah are both made from grapes grown in our estate vineyards.
We also offer estate-grown Syrah, Chardonnay, Grenache and a Rhone style blend we call Tres, plus Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the vineyards of our Healdsburg neighbors.
Our wines are food friendly and we encourage you to discover for yourself at one of our wine and food pairings.
Please join us in a toast to friendship! We believe that wine is a discovery to be shared with friends, old and new. We hope you will enjoy our wines, share them with friends and celebrate the friendly spirit of Sonoma wine country living.
~ Michael & Vicky Farrow, Proprietors

Taste in the Heart of Healdsburg
My Rhône-centric philosophy is the essence of each wine I produce: Rhône varietals, blends, sparkling, and single-vineyard Zinfandels.
So, what is this Rhône-centric philosophy, that I speak of? It starts with my true passion for wines that come from both the Northern and Southern Rhône Valley, and other parts of the South of France.
It’s rooted in my curiosity and understanding a terroir’s minerality and what it gives the wine. It’s immersing myself into the viticulture of each appellation and my winemaking practices.
It’s the culmination of the knowledge I have gained from my research, my overindulgence of wine and food of this region, my life-long friendships with Rhône winemakers, and my continuous experimentation both in the vineyard and in the cellar that drives my Rhône-centric style. For me, it is very much a Zen thing.

Sunce, established in 1991, is located just off of River Road on Olivet Road in the heart of the Russian River Valley. A small untra-premuim winery producing small lots of rare varietals, vineyard designates and classic blends. Quality is preferred over quantity; each release is limited, sometimes to 200 cases or less and many are pre-sold through barrel futures.
Sunce Winery, meaning “sun” in Serbo-Croatian, is located on one of the oldest roads in Sonoma County. Where olive trees once dominated the landscape, century old head pruned vines now quietly assert their beauty. Nestled in this serene environment, Sunce Winery provides a tranquil, romantic, yet down-to-earth atmosphere. Enjoy a picnic on the deck and play a game or two of bocce ball. Stroll the estate Pinot Noir Vineyard and if you see Frane (the wine maker) hanging around ask him to take you to his barrels.
Open daily 10:30 am – 5 pm.
Ticket to the Wine Road Offer:
Complimentary Tasting with Croatian-born Winemaker Frane Franicevic,

Translated from the Italian word for tractor, “Trattore” felt like the suitable name for the land where my passions combine – on 40 acres of steep rolling hillsides in Dry Creek Valley, planted in vineyards and olive trees. This ranch is a tribute to my appreciation for the craftsmanship and enduring tradition of an iconic old red tractor that I brought over from Europe and is seen both on our wine label and working among the vines on our property today. It’s also where our commitment to rich farming traditions in the vineyard and attention to detail in the cellar come together to produce our collection of wines and olive oils.
More than that, Trattore offers a “sense of place” where we look forward to sharing with guests who want to slow down and enjoy the stunning views of Dry Creek Valley over a glass of wine. Perhaps we can even interest you in a vineyard and orchard tour… from a tractor’s point of view.
