Lago di Merlo Vineyards & Winery
At Lago di Merlo Vineyards & Winery, each of our wines has its own distinct means of expressing the terroir - soil, topography and microclimate - from which it was born. The style of our wine derives from this marriage of ground and climate producing bold and gallant red wines from Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Appellation hillsides. The Sonoma region is similar to parts of Northern Italy in soil structure and climate, providing ideal growing conditions. The Merlo family’s passion for winemaking stems from centuries of cultivating family vineyards in the province of Alessandria, Italy. For the last three generations the tradition has been carried on in the Dry Creek appellation of Sonoma County.
Lago di Merlo Vineyards & Winery is located at the former Timber Crest Farms, 1.5 miles north of the Dry Creek General Store and Lambert Bridge Road. A country general store setting and fun staff welcome you to sample over 18 varietals and 40 offerings. $5 Refundable Tasting Fee waived with purchase of $5 or more in the tasting room.
