In the spirit of its northern Rhone counterparts in Condrieu, this wine possesses a weight and richness rarely found in New World Viogniers. Made exclusively in older French oak barrels, the subtle nose imparts honeysuckle and jasmine...while the luxurious mouth feel showcases intriguing notes of nectar and pear, apricot and mango. Balanced, round and capable of bottle aging. Perfect for any occasion. $36 per bottle.

2006 Hillside Vineyard Old Vine Pinot Noir (10/17/2008)
Our Hillside Pinot Noir vineyard is one of the oldest continuously bearing Pinot Noir vineyards in the Russian River Valley. The Hillside Vineyard is a south-facing, low-yielding vineyard with yields as low as one ton per acre or less. The Porter Creek 2006 Hillside Vineyard Old Vine Pinot Noir shows nuances of light and dark red fruits, rose petals on the palate, and well rounded tannins. Aging is rewarded. This wine is very limited in production and is available only at the winery. $65 per bottle.

2006 Fiona Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir (12/16/2008)
This meticulously planted, south facing steep hillside vineyard is situated along Westside Road at the entrance to Porter Creek Vineyards. Hard clay top soil with a fractured stone bedrock places continual stress on these Pinot vines, resulting in a very expressive, unique vineyard designate wine. The nose has aromas of wild berries and forest floor, the mid-palate is weighty and the finish, long and silky. $36
