Taft Street Winery

It all began in the mid 1970's in a garage on Taft Street in Oakland, CA, where John and Mike Tierney began making wines that amazed us - his family and friends. So amazed that we opened our wallets, broadened our horizons and created Taft Street Winery.

We began operations in 1982 in the Russian River Valley with a production of several hundred cases of Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc blend.

Eight times in ten years the Wine Spectator has called our Sonoma County Chardonnay a BEST BUY.

Our tasting room is open 7 days a week to offer samples...often of wines that are in extremely limited production. Generally these wines are available only through Taft Street's President's Club.  The President's Club is made up of friends of Taft Street Winery who enjoy handcrafted, award-winning, reasonably priced wines. Members enjoy everyday discounts on wines, as well as priority status for the purchase of new release wines. Please e-mail us for more information.
