Alexander Valleys oldest winemaking family continues their commitment to quality and good value with their estate Zinfandels, Sangiovese, and Cabernet. Sausal Winery and the Demostene family have long been respected producers of rich, intense, age-worthy Zinfandel made from estate vines that are 50 to 126 years old. The Sausal Cellar Cats Sophie & Gypsie invite you to taste the newest addition to our family of wines, the Cellar Cats ZIN.

Enjoy our picnic area overlooking the vineyards, along with wine tasting daily from 10AM-4PM.

$5.00 Tasting Fee for each person in parties or eight or more, refundable with purchase.

2006 Sangiovese (02/14/2008)
This 100% Sangiovese is estate grown on the Sausal Ranch in Alexander Valley. Aging in French Oak allows this medium bodied wine to become silky and round on the palate. This wine is bright and tart with red fruit, and has wonderful spice.
