The magic of Barrel Tasting is to get into the cellar and taste wines directly from the barrels. With the current Covid restrictions in place, we would not be able to invite you inside the cellars…we would lose the magic.
Having wineries thief wine from the barrels, into bottles and then have to provide an hour-long seated tasting simply did not seem like the Barrel Tasting experience we wanted to offer our guests. Requiring reservations at each winery for Barrel Tasting also did not seem manageable.
We’ve come along way and soon we will be opening our tasting rooms and cellars for indoor tasting, but we simply cannot know if that will happen by May or not. There are too many unknowns for us to move forward with Barrel Tasting plans.
However, we are looking forward to inviting you to visit us in May for a new, smaller, outdoor event:
Member May…running Monday to Monday, May 24-31.
This event will offer you the chance to be a “wine club member for a day” at all of the participating wineries
We will have a full description of this new event online by April 15 .
Stay tuned…wineries are in the midst of signing up now.
Barrel Tasting is an opportunity to meet winemakers, learn a bit about the wine making process and mostly buy “futures” of the wines you sample directly from the barrel.
You’ve been waiting for this day…Barrel Tasting is a time honored tradition along the Wine Road.
Don’t miss this opportunity to get into the cellars, explore the vineyards and discover some new wines. Wineries have been patiently waiting for this weekend, waiting to connect with their customers and waiting to share their wines with you.
Yes, all they need is a copy of your PDF Ticket, check in at the winery you chose to start at and bring a valid photo ID for age verification.
Either print it or show it on your phone and your valid photo ID for age verification.
Yes that is fine, as long as they have a copy of the PDF Ticket and a valid ID when checking in.
We cannot change your starting location. You must check in at the winery you chose at registration.
Designated Drivers must be 21 years of age or older with a valid ID.
