We look forward to hosting

Barrel Tasting

March 3-6, 2022

The magic of Barrel Tasting is to get into the cellar and taste wines directly from the barrels.  We look forward to hosting guests back in our cellars come spring 2022.  Our intention is to make this a 4 day event,  and include some evening tastings as well.

Tasting will be by reservation only at each winery, but with shorter time slots and not seated. Wineries simply need to limit the number of guests on property at any given time. Tasting will, for the most part, be in the cellar at participating wineries.

We plan to have the participation list online by Jan. 27.

Tickets will go on sale Feb 3rd at 9:00am

There are so many variables in place with Covid restrictions and we can’t predict what will be happening come March 2022. Therefore we can’t ask wineries to make plans and commit to an event as early as we have in the past. We know this makes it hard to make travel plans…but we also don’t want to promise what we can’t deliver.  As we feel confident with event details, we will update this page.

Barrel Tasting is an opportunity to meet winemakers, learn a bit about the wine making process and mostly buy “futures” of the wines, you sample directly from the barrel.

We have been patiently waiting until we could host this event again. We hope that spring of 2022 is the time!

Is my registration/ticket transferrable to another person?

Yes, all they need is a copy of your PDF Ticket, check in at the winery you chose to start at and bring a valid photo ID for age verification.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Either print it or show it on your phone and your valid photo ID for age verification.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes that is fine, as long as they have a copy of the PDF Ticket and a valid ID when checking in.

Can I switch my starting Winery?

We cannot change your starting location. You must check in at the winery you chose at registration.

Do Designated Drivers have to be 21 years of age?

Designated Drivers must be 21 years of age or older with a valid ID.

Barrel Tasting Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE

  • PRINT or SHOW your PDF Ticket at registration at your chosen starting winery.
  • You are required to select your starting winery, then are welcome to visit any and all of the wineries participating in this year’s event throughout the weekend.
  • Please note the check-in location listed. This is the only winery you will be able to check in at.
  • Each participating winery is limited to 50 check-in registrations. When a winery has sold out as a check-in their winery name is “crossed out” on the list and will not be able to accept any more check-ins.
  • Wineries with an * next to their name have requested no groups of 8 or more and no limos.
  • All buses are banned from Wine Road events. A van is not a bus, but a bus of any size is just that – a bus. Buses are not allowed. Wineries will turn you away at the parking lot.
  • Be prepared to show your wristband at each winery you visit to let wineries know you’ve checked-in and are an event participant.
  • You will need to keep your wristband on for both days.
  • Ticket admits one person into the event.
  • Be prepared to show your photo I.D. – No I.D. = no admittance.
  • All Wine Road events are for adults only. NO ONE under the age of 21 is allowed to attend Wine Road events – this also applies to babies or children of any age.
  • Designated Drivers must be 21 years of age or older with a valid ID.
  • If you lose or forget your glass it will be $5 for a new one.
  • No replacement for lost wristbands, a new one must be purchased.
  • Please do not bring dogs to Wine Road events.
  • Each person in your party will need to be present when checking in, wineries need to check ID’s (for age) and attach wristbands to each attendee.
  • SUNDAY ONLY tickets will be able to check-in on Sunday only.
  • Participating wineries will stop pouring at 4:00pm on event weekends, even if their normal tasting hours are later.
  • Please help us with our goal of responsible wine service. No winery will continue to serve or sell wine to any guest who appears intoxicated, even if they have a limo or designated driver. It is against the law.
  • Event takes place rain or shine.
  • DESIGNATED DRIVERS will not be served any wine, they will be offered other beverages to drink. At check-in they are given a different color wristband.
  • Share the Responsibility. In an effort towards responsible hospitality, if you and your companion would like to switch between a Weekend and Designated Driver ticket, just ask that your wristbands be cut off at your first stop on Sunday and new ones assigned for your use.
  • Be aware of those around you as you wait at the tasting bar for your sample, make room for others to enjoy the experience as well.
  • We recommend limiting the number of wines you sample at each winery and we encourage you to take advantage of dump buckets provided for excess wine.
