Rodney Strong Vineyards

Founded in 1959 as Sonoma County’s 13th bonded winery, Rodney Strong is family-owned and dedicated to crafting wine that reflects our passion and creativity. We’re open daily 10am-5pm with tours at 11am and 3pm. Come visit to get a behind the scenes look at the working sections of the winery or just relax in the spacious tasting room and enjoy a casual but informative tasting.

Rodney Strong’s tasting room offers samples of limited edition wines including their highly allocated single vineyard Alexander Valley cabernet sauvignons, Rockaway and Brothers Ridge. There is a nominal tasting fee which is refundable with purchase; free tasting for our Wine Club members.  Groups of ten or more require a reservation; kindly call in advance.

This year, the winery is celebrating its 20th annual summer concert series with five great acts.  Visit our new website to view the whole lineup, purchase tickets or simply peruse the pages for information on Rodney Strong wines, vineyards, other events or wine and food education. The new site is beautifully illustrated and fun.

Individually, they are three titans of contemporary music: Rick Braun, the gifted trumpeter/flugelhornist with the golden voice; GRAMMY Award-winning tenor saxophonist Kirk Whalum, the Memphis-born artist who mixes Beale Street, gospel, the blues and bop; and Norman Brown, the GRAMMY-winning guitarist who brings a Louisiana lilt to his Wes Montgomery/George Benson influenced six-string soulful strut. They came together eleven years ago as the supergroup known as BWB and their historic album Groovin', made them one of the most sought-after groups at that time. This terrific triad reassembles with the June 18, 2013 release of Human Nature on Heads Up International.
