David Coffaro Winery

Come visit the hidden gem of beautiful Dry Creek Valley. David Coffaro Winery has been making wine for over 25 years, and has worked hard to produce top-shelf wines at a fair price. The 20-acre vineyard is home to over 30 different grape varietals that range from the Rhone Valley of France to the Alto Adige region of Italy. This allows them to produce a wide range of single varietal wines and eclectic wine blends. If you want to try something different, this is the place to visit! Reservations Required.

Portalupi Wine

WineStopper’s stop of the week was at Portalupi Wine speaking with Maria Magana. She presented the 2019 Zinfandel, Marcucci Farms from the Russian River Valley. Portalupi wines are inspired by owner Jane Portalupi’s Italiian heritage and coupled with the Russian River six-generation Italian vineyard Marcucci Farms there is no other wine to highlight Cal-Ital.

Here is what is in the bottle!

Appelation Russian River Valley
Vineyard(s) Marcucci Farms
Varietal Zinfandel
Vintage 2019
Blend 100%
Fermentation Malolactic
Elevage 16 Months in American Oak, 40% new, 30% 1 year, 30% 2 year, Brix 25.2
Winery Notes The Wine is boldly fruit-forward typical of the Russian River Valley’s cooler climate Zinfandels. A wine which evokes memories of past Zinfandels produced by our Italian ancestors with red fruit, hints of fresh strawberries and even resperries, with a touch of white pepper and cinnamon. Very classic, Cal-Ital Zinfandel. Age 4-6 eyars.
Price $42.00

Thanks so much for the map. Heading down to Sonoma County for time along the Wine Road is our favorite get-away. Wineries are great, scenery is stunning. Perfecto!

Katie S. Eureka

We love to escape winter in Chicago and head to Sonoma County. We discover new wineries and make new friends. It seems we always start planning our next trip when we're on our way home!

Bob R. Chicago

Because of the podcasts that you and Marcy conduct, I am planning a trip to stay in Sonoma. Your descriptions and sense of fun make a slightly longer drive meaningful. Keep up the good work.
