Part Time Tasting Room Associate - Pedroncelli Winery

Opportunity to Work at one of the Most Storied Sonoma County Tasting Rooms: As a Pedroncelli Tasting Room Associate you have a passion for wine, an opportunity to educate guests about our history and the story behind our wines all the while maintaining a balance between providing an excellent customer experience and a friendly atmosphere. As a candidate you must be wine knowledgeable and comfortable with table service style wine tasting. It is essential to provide our guests with an all-around quality wine experience. Weekends are required. Alternately an on call position is available, for every other weekend work. Routine Responsibilities: • Cheerfully greet winery guests with enthusiasm. • Accurately present the wines and engage guests about the winery and its family legacy. • Create a memorable tasting experience for every guest. • Pour and deliver wine flights to each guest at their table. • Encourage joining Club Ped, our wine club. • Handle routine sales transactions including wine purchases, wine club sign ups and shipping orders. Experience with AMS POS system preferred. Learn and assume responsibility for opening and closing the tasting room. • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while in the tasting room. • Retail sales experience: ability to present product, up sell & close the sale • Keep the tasting areas clean and bus tables after tasting experiences are completed. • Restocking of wine and non-wine merchandise. • Assist with special events including setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and all items related to Tasting Room events. • Perform off site, virtual tastings or other projects when requested and as available. • Other duties as required. Work Requirements: • Must be 21 years of age or older • Winery experience, 1-2 years or more, preferred • Hold or be willing to complete within 15 days of hiring the following: o ABC Responsible Hospitality certification o Safe Serve food safety certificate. • Work weekend days • Must have the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties • Must be able lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis • Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch.
