Our winery is small and family operated. Our focus has always been on quality over quantity.
At A. Rafanelli Winery, we work hard at maintaining a tradition of producing premium grapes and handcrafting world class wines. We believe that the wines are first made in the vineyard and then achieve their maximum potential through traditional winemaking practices such as open top fermentation and non-filtration.
Our quaint and rustic winery sits on a knoll overlooking the scenic Dry Creek Valley and is surrounded by some of our terraced hillside vineyards. The winery consistently specializes in some of the finest Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.
Our wines are not available in any retail outlets, they can only be purchased at the winery.
If you are going to be in our area and would like to visit us, taste our wines, and maybe take some home with you, please call to make an appointment. The family always looks forward to welcoming winery visitors personally.

Tasting daily from 11:00am – 3:30pm
Did you know Amista is the premiere producer of Dry Creek Valley sparkling wines? We are now in our 15th year of crafting sparkling wines using the traditional method for making French champagne. Our sparkling Blanc de Blanc and Sparkling Syrah are both made from grapes grown in our estate vineyards.
We also offer estate-grown Syrah, Chardonnay, Grenache and a Rhone style blend we call Tres, plus Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the vineyards of our Healdsburg neighbors.
Our wines are food friendly and we encourage you to discover for yourself at one of our wine and food pairings.
Please join us in a toast to friendship! We believe that wine is a discovery to be shared with friends, old and new. We hope you will enjoy our wines, share them with friends and celebrate the friendly spirit of Sonoma wine country living.

Since 1994, owners, operators, brothers and partners, Steve and Bruce Cousins have transformed Armida Winery from a quiet producer of good wines into a much livelier place focusing on artisan, single-vineyard wines from the top growers in Sonoma Valley. We hand-craft over ten different wines and feature some of the best vineyards in California, including Maple Vineyards Zinfandel and Maple Vineyards Tina’s Block (perhaps California’s BEST Zinfandel vineyard), Durell Chardonnay, Parmelee-Hill Pinot and Zinfandel, Gaps Crown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Chalone Chardonnay and Pinot Noir as well as the Castelli Knight Pinot Noir. From our seven-acre estate vineyard we produce Il Campo “Field Blend”, a delicious combination of Zinfandel and Petite Sirah.
While we make seriously great wine the focus at Armida is FUN!, which is one of the reasons we also produce PoiZin (Zinfandel) “The Wine to Die for,” and ANTIDOTE (White Wine Blend). We invite you to winery to try our wines and our warm, friendly hospitality. Enjoy the hillside views of the Russian River and Dry Creek Valleys from our newly remodeled outdoor tasting area. You can also reserve the Bocce Ball court with a minimum purchase. We hope to see you soon!
Wines you’ll remember from a place you’ll never forget, with wine country’s friendliest staff.

Dry Creek Vineyard
Healdsburg, Sonoma County, California
Established in 1972, Dry Creek Vineyard is Dry Creek Valley’s flagship winery located in the heart of Sonoma County, California. As the region’s first new winery following Prohibition, founder David Stare paved the way for a viticultural rebirth in this vibrant wine growing appellation. Among other industry benchmarks, Dry Creek Vineyard is recognized as the first winery to plant Sauvignon Blanc in the Dry Creek Valley. A pioneer of Bordeaux-style blending, the winery was also the first to use the term Meritage with the 1985 vintage and the first to coin the term “Old Vine” to describe pre-Prohibition era Zinfandel vineyards.
Today, the winery is led by the second generation. Dave’s daughter, Kim Stare Wallace, serves as President overseeing a successful family winemaking and grape growing business. Dry Creek Vineyard proudly produces delicious Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Meritage blends as well as a handful of single vineyard selections.
Reservations are strongly encouraged. Tasting fee is $30 per person but waived with two bottle per person purchase. Wine Club members enjoy complimentary tasting for us to six people with reservation.

The hidden gem of Dry Creek Valley, Martorana Family Winery, organically grows and produces wine and extra virgin olive oil. Wine varietals include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rosé of Zinfandel, Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and a unique Red Blend Mozzafiato. Martorana makes small lot crafted wines and Olio di Gio Olive Oil, with an average of 2,000 cases annually that are sold exclusively through the wine club and tasting room. Â
The grapes and olives have been grown at the Dry Creek Valley estate for more than three decades. Father and son team, Tony and Gio Martorana, currently farm 30 acres of organic grapes, and over 350 organic olive trees in this appellation.

Great wine has to be about place, which is achieved only if the bottled wine reflects where the grapes were grown. At Peterson Winery we practice the philosophy of Zero Manipulation. Our definition of Zero Manipulation is using the most gentle winemaking techniques possible to maximize flavors, aromatics and the original essence of the wine. The less you do in the course of a wine’s tenure in the cellar, the more of that essence you’ll have to bottle. My goal is that every vintage captures that sense of place.
Fred Peterson
