Dry Creek Vineyard

Established in 1972, Dry Creek Vineyard is Dry Creek Valley’s flagship winery located in the heart of Sonoma County, California. As the region’s first new winery following Prohibition, founder David Stare paved the way for a viticultural rebirth in this vibrant wine growing appellation. Among other industry benchmarks, Dry Creek Vineyard is recognized as the first winery to plant Sauvignon Blanc in the Dry Creek Valley. A pioneer of Bordeaux-style blending, the winery was also the first to use the term Meritage with the 1985 vintage and the first to coin the term “Old Vine” to describe pre-Prohibition era Zinfandel vineyards.

Today, the winery is led by the second generation. Dave’s daughter, Kim Stare Wallace, serves as President overseeing a successful family winemaking and grape growing business. Dry Creek Vineyard proudly produces delicious Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Meritage blends as well as a handful of single vineyard selections.

Reservations are strongly encouraged. Tasting fee is $30 per person but waived with two bottle per person purchase. Wine Club members enjoy complimentary tasting for us to six people with reservation.

Dutcher Crossing is a family-owned boutique winery in Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley known for its award-winning small-lot wines, spectacular views and warm hospitality.

Its scenic tasting room and trellised picnic area are perfect places to relax and sip the winery’s sauvignon blanc, zinfandels, cabernets and chardonnays.

Ehret has been farming top-quality Bordeaux varietals since 1996, selling much of their fruit to prestigious wineries in the Sonoma and Napa Valley. In 2005, they decided to reserve their highest quality grapes for their own brand, Ehret. While they sell many of their grapes to prestigious producers, they reserve specific, small blocks that go into the Ehret brand producing distinctive, small production, single-vineyard wines. Predominately Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style wines.

Embark on a treasure hunt and find this undiscovered rural gem.  Between Forestville and Sebastopol off Hwy 116, take the unassuming turn on Ross Station Road, then the first left on Ross Road to find us tucked away down the country lane adjacent to the West County end of the Joe Rodota Trail.  Your reward will be a unique array of exquisite wines and a memorable experience.  Rustic…yes, unpretentious…yes, great wines…YES!  If the weather is nice, bring a picnic and stay a while, rediscover the way wine country used to be and make this a visit to remember.

We are a full service wine production operation, with custom crush facilities for select small producers, and can offer custom bottlings for corporate packages, memorable wedding wines, and customized labeling options for our world class wines.  Want your name on premium wine?  We can make it happen.

Gonzague and Claire Lurton have managed independently their own properties during 20 years in Bordeaux. They decided to have a joint challenge “elsewhere” that is to say outside Bordeaux. They found their gem in the heart of Chalk Hill and named it Trinite Estate.

This beautiful vineyard made of hills, is located 750 feet above sea level. The soil is loamy and clayey and it recovers a subsoil of rocks of volcanic origin. The main grape varieties of Bordeaux are the cabernet sauvignon, cabernet

Come on up to J. Rickards Winery for some of the tastiest wines and best views in the Alexander Valley . Enjoy a complimentary tasting of our hearty estate produced wines while learning about our unique sustainable approach to farming and winemaking. Proprietor Jim Rickards has been growing grapes on these steep hillsides since 1976 and we’ll be celebrating our 10th anniversary of making wine this year! Come take a peek into our refreshingly cool wine cave and get up close and personal with our 1908 Old Vine Zinfandel block. “Passion, not pretense” is a motto we live by. We’d love to show you around our place sometime soon!
