After Jim bought the property, he knew he wanted to expand the Zinfandel vines beyond the original Brignole Vineyards. Two years later, in 1978, he found the perfect location on a south-facing terrace at the western edge, and named it the Triangle Block. The vines were grafted from the Old Vines and produce fruit with big, bold, and complex flavors of boysenberry, black cherry, and cassis, along with spiced notes of anise and vanilla. The bright acidity of the wine is balanced by the overall full body, finishing with velvety tannins.
