Gold Medal Winner – Monterey International Wine Competition An exciting Chardonnay for the 2021 vintage, the Acta Chardonnay is built around a trio of vineyards from the Russian River AVA. The 2021 vintage is strikingly pretty with beautiful purity of fruit, richness on the palate and with plenty of freshness, makes warranting another glass a necessity. The 2021 cuvée’s core is driven by an older vine vineyard, planted in the mid-70’s, floral and precise this portion of the blend provides apple blossom and stone fruit. Balancing against that, a vineyard from Westside Road lends density, texture and its hallmark shaved almonds—a classic character in Chardonnay. Rounding out the wine, a hillside property near the town of Forestville captures the California sunshine offering honey and wildflowers to this complex wine. Together the wine is beautifully aromatic, richly textured and with enough lithe, will continue to evolve and age gracefully for years to come.
