Producer: Leo Steen 93 Drinking Window: 2024 – 2030 Antonio Galloni, January 2024 The NV Fortified Chenin Blanc – SØD Batch 2 is an Angelica-style wine, in this case based on the 2011 vintage. It shows gorgeous complexity. Light brown sugar, dried fruit, cedar and hazelnut open first. This is a bit high-toned, but that slightly volatile character is not uncommon in dessert wines that have been left in barrel, un-topped, and bottled after 12 years in wood.
