Welcoming guests since the 1930s, Highlands “came out” as a gay resort in 1980. We are “straight friendly”. Individual cabins retain a vintage look with charming gas fireplaces, chrome and Formica tables, in-laid linoleum floors and front porches.
Our pool is surrounded by lawns and bright flower borders.
Modern amenities, while available, do not intrude. Cabins are technology free allowing you to unplug your life on a very basic level. An abundance of books and games encourages relaxation.
Our concierge will assist with everything from restaurants to wine tasting adventures. Located a two block walk from the Bohemian village of Guerneville, we are on 3 acres of stunning Redwood groves and beautiful gardens.
