A 50th anniversary milestone deserves a year-long celebration of wine tasting, and the Wine Road is doing just that. Are you ready for a retro wine tasting day?
Good Old Days
Do you ever wish you could just wander from winery to winery, no plan, no reservation, no tasting fee?
On June 20, 2026, your wish will be a reality. In honor of their 50th anniversary, the Wine Road is going back to 1976, when wine tasting was free. For this one day, you’ll be able to visit your choice of over 25 wineries offering complimentary wine tasting.
As of today, this is the list of participating wineries:

How it Works
To participate in the Good Old Days, you’ll need to sign-up online and show your registration at participating wineries to enjoy your free tasting. Be sure to create one registration per taster. Cost to register is $5 per person. Here’s the registration link.
Time to gathering friends and put together a day of making memories like the good old days.
Summer Wine Trail
Here’s another relaxed, easy-going tasting opportunity. The Summer Wine Trail, on July 11th from 11 – 4, is an excellent way to celebrate the Wine Road’s 50th.
This Wine Trail features 20 wineries along the Wine Road. During the day, you can drop in and taste their offering procured just for Wine Trail ticket holders. For July, the wineries will be offering tastes of wines perfect for backyard barbecues, poolside parties and summer sipping.
Highlights
If you’re interested in wine caves, Alexander Valley Vineyards is giving cave tours at noon and 2:30 along with tasting their wines.
If you’re on the hunt for a refreshing summer Rosé, many of the wineries will be pouring one along with other refreshing white wines. Colagrossi is serving their Sparkling Barbera, which I can’t wait to try.
Maybe you’re looking for unusual varietals, well then be sure to get your tickets. Here are some of the unusual varietal offerings: Pinot Grigio at due Ruscelli Vineyards, Coquille Rouge – a Rhône blend at Carol Shelton Wines, Falanghina at D’Argenzio Winery, Mozzafiato at Martorana Family Winery, Montepulciano at D’Argenzio and Trentadue Wineries, Viognier at Pech Merle, Carol Shelton and West Wines, and Vermentino at Seghesio Family Vineyards.
If you prefer the traditional varietals, there are many of those being poured too. Merry Edwards Winery is serving their Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc and two single-vineyard Pinot Noirs. Stressed Vines Cellars will pour Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon and all are single-vineyard designated wines. Sunce Winery is focusing on only white wines and rosés — five 2025 newly released wines — plus offering complimentary charcuterie and meatballs.
