2018 Windacre Vineyard Merlot

North of the Gate Wine Competition This elegantly bold medium-bodied red wine has a velvety quality that translates in both nose and palate. Fruit forward notes of cherry and plum are complemented by undertones of violets, roses and sandalwood on the nose. On the palate, top notes of boysenberry are met with structured tannins of tobacco and dark chocolate, finishing with layered notes of dried rosemary and thyme.
