Meet Wine Road’s New Executive Director: Katie Ambrosi

Last week, we shared the news that our longtime Executive Director, Beth Costa, would be retiring after 26 years of leadership at Wine Road. We also promised we’d be back soon to introduce the person who will help lead Wine Road into its next chapter.

Today, we’re excited to do just that.

Please join us in welcoming Katie Ambrosi as Wine Road’s new Executive Director.

A Familiar Face in Wine Country

For many of our members and visitors, Katie is already a familiar face. Born and raised in Healdsburg, she has spent more than two decades working in wine country marketing, hospitality, events, and brand development. Most recently, she served as Director of Marketing for Wilson Artisan Wines, where she oversaw marketing, communications, events, and direct-to-consumer initiatives across 12 winery brands and multiple lodging properties.

Over the years, Katie has become known for her creativity, hospitality expertise, and ability to bring people together through memorable experiences. Whether planning large-scale events, building relationships throughout the wine community, or supporting local businesses, her passion for Northern Sonoma County has always been at the center of her work.

Deep Roots in the Community

Katie’s connection to Wine Road extends beyond her professional experience.

She has served on the Wine Road Board of Directors, participated in numerous community and charitable initiatives, and has long been an advocate for the wineries, lodging properties, and small businesses that make our region such a special place to visit.

That combination of local knowledge, industry experience, and genuine enthusiasm for the region made her a natural choice for the role.

As Wine Road Board President Julie Pedroncelli St. John shared, Katie brings “a rare combination of creativity, industry knowledge, and deep community connection” to the position.

Looking Ahead

As Wine Road celebrates its 50th anniversary, Katie steps into the role at an exciting time.

Her immediate focus will be supporting Wine Road’s members, preparing for upcoming events like the 50th Anniversary Grand Tasting and Wine & Food Affair, and continuing the work of connecting visitors with the wineries, lodging properties, and experiences that make Northern Sonoma County unique.

We’re confident Katie will bring her own energy, perspective, and leadership to the role while building on the strong foundation Beth created.

Welcome, Katie!

We’re thrilled to have Katie leading Wine Road and look forward to introducing her to even more of our visitors, members, and friends in the months ahead.

Please join us in welcoming Katie to the Wine Road family. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.
