Harry Wetzel, IV is Head of Operations and Family Partner with Alexander Valley Vineyards. These are his favorite spots for a A Perfect Day Out with the Family.

First thing, we go to Parish Café in Healdsburg for breakfast and get the Houma Hash (the kids will inevitably get the Pan Perdue and Beignets).

After breakfast, we stop by Big John’s Market for some sandwiches and/or meats, cheeses, bread and salads.

Then drive out to Bodega Head and stop in at Spud Point Crab Co. for some clam chowder to go, and head up the Pacific Coast Highway/Highway 1 to Goat Rock Beach for a picnic lunch.

Afterward our picnic we will drive back in on 116 and stop at Nimble and Finns for some ice cream, and then go for a stroll at Armstrong Woods to check out the Colonel Armstrong Tree.

Then back to Healdsburg for either a nap or some coffee at Plank Coffee.

For dinner, we go to Catelli’s or Diavola.
