Nothing says summer better than an evening on the patio with friends, grilling up some BBQ ribs, brisket, or chicken and sipping a glass or two of Zinfandel.
Options Where You Don’t Do the Cooking
The Zinfandel and BBQ combo is so popular along the Wine Road that you’ll find wineries hosting Zin festivities to showcase this perfect pairing.
Here are two options that will be happening this coming weekend.
Red, White & Rosé—Independence Day Celebration
Mounts Family Winery
Saturday, July 1 from 12 – 4 p.m.
$20 per person, or two complimentary passes for each wine club member
Mounts will be pouring their favorite wines including Zinfandel, and grilling up their famous tri-tip. Come soak in the sun while enjoying the most beautiful views of the Dry Creek Valley!
RSVP to info@mountswinery.com or call them at 707-292-8148.
All American Zin Day
Kokomo, Mazzocco-Sonoma, Rued, Wilson, & Family Wineries—Dry Creek
Saturday, July 1 from 11 – 4 p.m.
$60 per person (available at any of the participating wineries); $25 for designated drivers. Ticket includes good food, great wines, and a commemorative glass.
Come celebrate Dry Creek Valley’s most popular varietal with five wineries! Sip on Zinfandel and Primitivo (Zinfandel’s kissing cousin), plus other varietals will be available for tasting.
Enjoy pulled pork at Kokomo Winery, the much anticipated tri-tip steak slices marinated in their very own TNT butt rub at Family Wineries, skirt steak at Mazzocco-Sonoma, scrumptious barbecued chicken wings at Rued, and the ever popular sausages served up by Wilson Winery.
