MEETING MINUTES

Current Events

  • Breakfast With the Winemakers
    • 1st round of breakfasts were cancelled due to low sales
      • Idea was to pair with Vineman Event
      • Visit Santa Rosa was to promote to participants
    • 2nd round are July 28th & 29th
      • May use a little advertising budget to help sell
  • Magical Mystery Tours
    • Russian River Valley tour was May 6th – Went ok
    • Feedback from attendees
      • A couple of the wineries didn’t make it seem like a special experience,
      • They felt underwhelmed
    • Would like to relay info to upcoming tours
      • What worked well vs what didn’t
      • Offer helpful ideas for Success
    • Alexander & Dry Creek Valley tours are nearly SOLD OUT
    • Good Price Point at $125 per person – 4 tastes of wine at each location plus food

Wine & Food Affair

  • Price is the same – $80 Weekend, $60 Sunday, $30 DD
  • No Bottle Shots this year
    • Space for Wineries to upload their own photo on recipe site
    • Save money
  • Added event requirement
    • Sharing Social media or Email
    • At least 3 wines must be poured

Barrel Tasting

  • Update on RSVP lists
    • Wineries must participate on Friday to be a check-in location
  • Price remains the same – $50 Weekend, $40 Sunday, $5 DD

Harvest Experience

  • Postpone until 2018 due to number of details needing to be ironed out
  • Ideas for event
    • Add a lodging component
    • Experience should be on either Thursday or Monday
  • Winecountry.com will be used for promoting to exclusive client list

Rhone Event

  • New Event the 1st Saturday in May 2018
  • Rhone varietals Only
    • Must be from Sonoma County
    • Must pour at least three Rhone wines
  • Price $40 for the day
  • 40 wineries to participate
  • Goal is 500 guests
  • Encourage food but not a requirement
  • Possible Friday night event at one location for wineries with only one Rhone varietal
  • Advertise a Save the Date at this June’s Rhone Ranger Pouring
