The California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Pierce’s Disease Control Program (PDCP) will host a virtual briefing call for wine and winegrape industry representatives on Wednesday, June 3, at 2 p.m. regarding the detection of glassy-winged sharpshooter (GWSS) on grapevine shipments sold at select Costco locations in California. Virtual link below.
PDCP will provide an update on the ongoing response to grapevine shipments from Burchell Nursery in Fresno County that were distributed to Costco stores throughout the state. The briefing will include an overview of the situation, response and containment efforts, affected counties, public outreach activities, and next steps. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
