I have very little in the way of updates.
You have most certainly all seen the re-opening plan for restaurants, and wineries that serve food. This does not pertain to 80% of our members.
OpenTable – tasting room reservations
If you are looking for a platform to move your tastings to reservation only, OpenTable is now working with tasting rooms. This may be an avenue you should explore. This is their press release from yesterday. Reserve a spot at the Bar
Wine Institute releases the following documents:
a sample privacy notice for employees, which is HIPPA and ADA compliant and has been vetted by outside employment counsel
a sample infectious and communicable disease policy for companies, prepared by outside employment counsel
a sample employee wellness questionnaire, prepared by outside employment counsel
a sample liability waiver, which has been reviewed by the Wine Institute legal subcommittee

SoCo Launch, Sonoma County’s Guide to Re-Opening
The EDB has announced SoCo Launch, an online portal featuring resources necessary to safely and successfully re-open your business, in accordance with the latest Public Health Order. This guide is aimed to help business owners understand at what point they may be able to re-open for consumers amidst the four phases outlined by the State of California.

Business Self-Certification Portal
EDB has created an online portal for businesses to self-certify, once state and/or local health orders allow them to open, that they are committed to meeting or exceeding requirements of the Business Mitigation Practices put into place by the County of Sonoma to prevent the spread of COVID-19. For those of you working on your re-opening guidelines for staff, I would again suggest you post and share your guidelines on the SonomaSafe.com site, in their resource link.
80 of our winery members responded to our brief survey about readiness to re-open. I was Interest to know how many of you have outdoor space you could use. I have not done any type of summary – I have just attached the responses. Re-Opening Readiness Survey
As we begin working on our messaging for when you re-open, we will not be focused on your cleaning strategies. That should be a given.

We will be creating radio spots and digital ads to target the greater Bay Area (driving distance). We plan to have our campaign in place to hit the ground running as soon as you can open the doors.
Our Car Hop Wine Shop, #SipSonoma, & Virtual Tastings ad campaigns will end May 31.
We will continue to promote those via social after May 31.
