This wine is a blend from two different Pommard clones of Pinot Noir planted in two separate vineyards within the Russian River Valley, near the Laguna de Santa Rosa. The cool Russian River AVA lends itself to a long slow ripening period with extended hang times, producing ripe, complex flavors and textures. This vintage produced notably high acidity and ripe tannins bringing special intensity to the wine. Aged for sixteen months in French oak barrels, this delicate Pinot blooms with aromas of dark cherry, raspberry, cola, tobacco, and caramel. Upon first sip, the silky texture carries notes of dried cranberry, subtle cherry, black tea, and toffee. The gentle flavor profile and soft, round finish make this wine an excellent companion to warmly spiced meals and cozy evenings at home.
