To all of our Wine Road member wineries –
The California Occupational Health and Safety Standards Board hastily approved new emergency regulations that place strict requirements on employers dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite strong objections from the California Association of Winegrape Growers and Wine Institute, these emergency regulations were filed on Monday, November 30, and went into effect.
At this time, it is unclear how quickly enforcement will proceed; however, all California employers are expected to comply with these regulations and should be implementing the new requirements.
Please join the California Association of Winegrape Growers and Wine Institute for a webinar this Friday, December 4 at 10:00am to discuss this regulation and how it applies to wineries and winegrape growers. The law firm of Fisher Phillips will present and provide guidance on how to comply with the new regulations.
