In the 1870’s, Bettino Ricasoli proposed improving the traditional wine blends in Tuscany by focusing on Sangiovese blended with other less-traditional reds. This style eventually became known as “Super Tuscan”. Bettino’s Blend is our tribute to this substantial wine and contains 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot. The finished wine features a core of dark plum and dried cherries with a long, rich finish of mocha and spice.
