Our estate Grenache originally came from a single row of vines in Jim Rickards’ “experimental block”, planted above the current location of our wine cave. The experiment worked and the fruit clusters at harvest showcased an ideal balance of ripeness and acidity. We began producing a single varietal Grenache offering that has become one of our most requested small-batch wines. Noes of black licorice and lavender on the nose transition into flavors of black cherry and rich raspberry jam. An extended finish of jasmine tea and earth spice provides the perfect conclusion for this complex swine.;
