Sue Smith’s beucolic sweeping vineyards at the entrance to wine country at the Sonoma raceway are matched only by the majesty of this wine. Reminiscent of a coastal Pinot, revealing ripe pomegranate, orange-peel and ruby-red grapefruit qualities. The aromatics are perfumed, with wildflowers and a bit of anise. Pair with mushroom risotto, lobster ravioli, Coq au vin, roast pork with a cranberry glaze, lamb stew, duck curry, or any gourmet burger.
